In this monologue, LMP bids farewell to himself and the concept of identity- ty. He expresses the desire to become everything and nothing at the same time: a voice, and nothing more. As he opens up to the world, he’s being crossed by others’ words, mainly from Samuel Beckett’s The Unnamable. The speaker is placed above the door, between the inside and the outside, underlining the ambiguity of the voice: both private and public, intimate and collective. LMP’s voice announces the presence and the absence of the subject, now become pure sound, vanished among the things of the world.
The monologue is in Italian.
